Victim Services of Windsor and Essex County is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting victims of crime or tragedy.
We do this through a coordinated response with police and other emergency services throughout Windsor and Essex County.
This service is designed to assist victims twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, responding to everything from violent
crime to personal crisis, disasters, workplace tragedy, accidents and sudden death. Victim Services is a government
program of the Ministry of the Attorney General.
Our services are provided by 80+ volunteers who cumulatively donate over 70,000 hours of unpaid work a year,
assisting individuals, groups and families in need. Last year we responded to nearly 500 critical incidents.
This site will provide you with information about Special Events and Fundraising activities that Victim Services is hosting.
This fall we hope to see you at a number of events we have upcoming. In September we start off with the Leamington
Police Golf Tournament on September 8th, 2004. If you are interested in participating in this golf tournament or for
more information please call the Victim Services office at 723-2711.
Also in September is "Wine & Dine 2004". This is a fundraiser in which you may choose to purchase
a ticket for dinner out at one (or all) of our featured restaurants. A portion of the ticket sales will go
towards Victim Services Windsor Essex County to help us provide continuous support to victims of crime or tragedy.
The three great restaurants participating in this year's "Wine and Dine 2004" are Three...a tasting bar, Plunkett's Bistro
Bar, and Calabrisella Ristorante. All participating restaurants will be selling tickets and tickets are non-refundable.
Tickets are also available for purchase through Victim Services. For more information please call 723-2711.
